PRISON MINISTRY

PURPOSE:

We are building the Body of Christ behind the walls. Regular services are conducted in the nearby Federal Prison, in Perryville State Prison and in the County Jails. Periodically, Louene teaches weekend seminars to the female inmates. As Auxiliary Chaplain, Pastor Walt walks the yards weekly. All of these contacts serve to share the Gospel, encourage the struggling saints and help build a mighty army of believers, many of whom parole to our residential program upon their release.

Instead of a life of incarceration and hopelessness, they are given the opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior. We bear with them as Christ is being formed in them.”
